Folk & Baroque

L'Armonia Boston musicians will be performing a sunset concert at the Biergarten. The evening will feature Susanna Ogata and Renée Hemsing on violin/fiddle, and Guy Fishman on cello/big fiddle. Separated by centuries but united by a shared spirit of invention, Baroque virtuosi and modern fiddlers alike transform the written page into a living, spontaneous performance. From the freewheeling stilo fantastico of early Italian masters to the virtuosic fiddle traditions of our own time, this program celebrates the violin's enduring art of spontaneous invention.
