Gore Place welcomes Jake for the 2026 Summer

Welcome Jake, 2026 Summer Intern

Hello, my name is Jake, and I’m Gore Place's summer intern through Waltham Partnership for Youth. Before heading off to my first semester at UMass for Industrial Engineering, I’m excited to dip my toes into the multitude of things Gore Place offers this July and August. I vividly remember climbing trees during the Sheepshearing Festival and look forward to contributing to a place from my youth.

I’m hoping to help out by setting up events, working on a research project, updating the various roombooks, and creating a new system to track the objects in each room. In the short time since I’ve started, it’s been a pleasure to get to know my knowledgeable colleagues, and I have loved and appreciated the opportunity to work in such a historic and stunning mansion; it quite frankly feels like I’m in a movie each day.

Welcome Jake!

"From shucking corn to feeding chickens to painting with "coffee mud," our daughter loved everything about her experience."
