Gore Place welcomes Connor McElhinney as Collections Specialist

Welcome Connor McElhinney

Gore Place is thrilled to welcome Connor McElhinney as Collections Specialist. Connor will be working with the historic collections through the spring and summer. Connor is from Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow last year, where he studied Philosophy and Digital Media and Information Studies (DMIS).

He writes, "I've always loved history and exploring past lives and I wanted to pursue a path that reflects this interest. I’m excited to be participating in an internship and cultural exchange program here at Gore Place. I’ll be organizing, documenting, and rehousing select items from the collection, which is large, varied, and full of valuable content. I'm looking foward to contributing to the collection's preservation and accessibility to visitors."

"My long-time fascination with Gore Place is the implementation of so many innovations--indoor well and plumbing, hot water shower, central heating…"
