An evening tour highlighting the life and activism of Robert Roberts, a Boston-based abolitionist and former butler at Gore Place.

Enjoy an evening tour of the 1806 Gore mansion highlighting the life and activism of Robert Roberts, author of the House Servant’s Directory (1827), Boston-based abolitionist, and onetime butler at Gore Place. The tour also highlights other activists and prominent Black leaders from the Boston area, some of whom worked with Roberts in the fight for equality in early 19th Century America. Along the way, you will see the beautiful Great Stairs, Peacock Parlor, Library, Withdrawing Room, Bed Chambers and Servant’s Quarters of the impressive 1806 mansion. 

Cost: $25, $20 members, $15 Card to Culture
