Workshop:
Weaving on a Loom
Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join us in our Carriage House on Saturday, July 26, for an extended 3-hour Traditional Skills Workshop* and try your hand at weaving on a loom! Each participant will create 4 woven coasters (aka “mug rugs”).
Weaving expert Beth Guertin of A Place to Weave will guide you in how to use a four-shaft loom to weave at least 32 inches of the warp in multiple twill patterns and a plain weave. After the workshop, Beth will bring the weaving home to do the final felting and cutting process, then return the mug rugs to Gore Place the following Saturday to be picked up at your convenience.
All supplies will be provided.
We hope you will join us for this unique experience! Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot today!
*Traditional Skills Workshops are intended for teens and adults only.
