Enjoy the spectacular Gore Mansion and learn about entertaining in the early 1800s as practiced by this wealthy, well-traveled, and urbane couple on a Moonlight Tour! Christopher and Rebecca Gore were a fashionable Bostonian couple who, in the late 1700s, spent the better part of a decade living in London and Paris. Their country mansion in Waltham served as a peaceful oasis from the noise and crowds of Boston. The style and quality of the furnishings, the many Boston-built pieces, and the fabulous personal touches make this one of New England’s best historic house tours.
