To Do the Good I Expected, a special tour of Gore Place about Robert Roberts, author, and abolitionist. Come experience the life, writing, and activism of Robert Roberts, a leader in Boston's free Black community and servant at Gore Place. The tour emphasizes the value of labor and the many challenges of changing the world while living in it.
This program was made possible by a 2019 grant from Mass Humanities.
Admission for this special event through October is free thanks to the grant from Mass Humanities. Space is limited. Reservations are required. Please reserve a ticket at the link below. This tour is designed for adults and youth of high school age and up.
"To Do The Good I Expected" will be offered on the following days:
- Tuesday, August 24 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 7 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 21 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 5 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- Thursday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Free to $10 depending on tour date
