Story Time in the Barn

Preschoolers are invited to join us in the Barn at Gore Place for special Story Times! These programs are recommended for 3 and 4-year-olds, but all are welcome.
Park in our South Entrance by the farm! Advanced tickets are required.
August 7 - Harvest Time
It’s harvest time at the Gore Place Farm! Join us for a special Story Time about fruits and veggies and the many ways they grow. We will begin with stories in the barn, followed by vegetable printmaking. Then we’ll make our way to the vegetable garden to harvest veggies to take home.
September 4 - Which Came First? Chickens and Eggs
During this Story Time, we will learn about the lives of chickens and how they are cared for at Gore Place. We will read books about chickens, will practice sitting on a nest like a mother hen, and make eggs-cellent art! Afterward, we will visit the chickens and watch how they behave.
