May 28 has been cancelled.

See the night sky in new ways during this hour-long stargazing program led by an expert astronomy educator. You’ll learn how to identify stars, planets and constellations, and we’ll uncover the historical importance of astronomy in the early 19th century. We’ll learn how to observe the night sky without equipment like binoculars or telescopes, but you’re welcome to bring your own. This program is designed for adults and children ages 6 and up with no prior astronomy knowledge. Please no younger children. Dress for the weather and for walking outdoors. For visitors using mobility devices, please note that we will be moving over uneven, grassy terrain.

*Please pay attention to the program start time when selecting a date. April dates will start at 9pm, and May dates will start at 10pm. The in-person start time fluctuates periodically to account for when the sun sets. If the program is online due to cloudy skies, it will begin at 8pm instead of these other start times.

Participants are notified through email one day in advance if the program will meet in-person or online. Please note that either possibility is a 50/50 chance as skies and weather are incredibly unpredictable. Exchanges cannot be accommodated at this time due to limited flexibility in compliance with COVID group-size regulations. All sales are final. Thank you for your understanding!*

Coronavirus safety precautions will be in place during this program. All participants and staff will be required to wear masks/face coverings and maintain social distancing.

If an accommodation would help you to more fully participate in this program, please contact Marisa Calise at marisacalise@goreplace.org.

Advance online tickets are required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
