Silk Shading Embroidery
Saturday, August 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Join us for an introduction to silk shading embroidery. We will be stitching a violet flower on a cotton zippered pencil case with silk/wool blend threads. During the workshop we will learn the basic techniques for silk shading and apply them while stitching this small project.
Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot!
*Traditional Skills workshops are intended for teens and adults only.
Meaghan Monroe has been hand embroidering since 2018. In 2022, she started designing patterns and putting together embroidery kits to sell as part of the family business: Subito Farm Designs. Inspired by her mother’s knitting these kits feature wool yarn and are a great introduction to embroidery. Check out Meaghan’s artwork on Instragram @meagahandra.
Cost: General Admission $40, Member $35, Card to Culture $15
