Needle & Nosh

Contemporary Art Felting Workshop

April 9 from 6-8 p.m.

Join us for Needle & Nosh at Gore Place: an intimate evening of needle felting, creativity, and community.* Alexandra Adamo-Cioffredi of Alex Makes Art invites guests to gather around and explore wool through a contemporary, tactile approach inspired by the Mansion’s historical charm and uniquely colorful wallpaper.

Participants will get to explore the first floor of the Mansion, enjoy thoughtfully curated cheese and charcuterie from Formaggio Kitchen, and create contemporary needle felted art under Alex's guidance -- an evening of cozy, artful ambiance perfect for slowing down and making together!

This program accompanies Farm to Form, a month-long exhibition at the Watertown Free Public Library. During the month of April, Gore Place’s educational panels tracing the many stages of wool production will appear alongside a curated collection of contemporary fiber artworks organized by Alex and MassArt student Yasemin Isaacs in collaboration with emerging 3D artists from the Boston area.

*This program is intended for teens and adults only.
