Moonlight Visit: Jane Austen's World
Friday, September 8, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.

Join a guide dressed in period clothing for a Moonlight Visit to the 1806 mansion at Gore Place in Waltham. You'll see the graceful Great Stairs, the lovely Oval Withdrawing Room, Peacock Parlor, Great Hall, bedchambers, sitting rooms, and more. Along the way, your guide will use the words of Regency author Jane Austen to describe life on this early 19th-century country estate. The style and quality of the furnishings, the many Boston-built pieces, and the personal touches make this one of New England's best historic houses.
