High Strung Strummers
Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
High Strung Strummers (Cathy Mason and Sarah Jane Nelson) play a mix of Anglo-American ballads, old-time tunes, and stories, often accompanied by a Crankie narrative scroll. Crankies are like the TV of the 1800s. You'll just have to come see for yourself!
Sarah Jane Nelson is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller. She plays traditional music for folk festivals, New England contra dances, and other regional events. Cathy Mason is a highly accomplished fiddler and music instructor who has spent nearly two decades studying Southern fiddle music with the masters of that tradition.
