Behind the Pen: Journal Making
January 7 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
At Gore Place, there were quite a few writers who provided important clues to understanding what happened when the Gores lived here. Come learn about Jacob Farwell, the farmer, and Robert Roberts, the head servant. Practice writing with a quill and ink as they did. Then, learn the art of making a journal by sewing and binding. Maybe you, too, can become an important part of history and leave your trace behind!
We will meet at the Mansion. This program is recommended for children ages 8-14. $16 per child. $11 children of Household/Dual Level Members. Reservations are required. Maximum 15 children.
