The Mansion surrounded by colorful fall foliage.
Today we are sharing an update about our estate. Gore Place is extending an agricultural fence that has existed on the property for 20 years. We are installing this fence extension in order to protect our farm animals, people, land, and historical structures. This fence is see-through and will allow people to view our beautiful estate from the surrounding streets. This installation will include appropriate landscape plantings around the estate. Our grounds will continue to be open daily for free for the community to enjoy. Our parking lot will also continue to be available to visitors for free.
Pedestrian entrances to the estate are located at our main gate (west side of the estate) at 52 Gore Street, Waltham, and at our south entrance at 249 Waltham Street, Watertown. Cars may enter the estate and park at our main parking lot at 52 Gore Street. In the future, when our new barns are completed, we will provide access for cars at our south entrance when the barns are open to visitors.
Our entire estate is a farm and agricultural area, and it is our duty to protect the animals, people, land, and historical structures here. We have been stewarding this land since Gore Place’s founding in 1935, and this fence extension is a part of that stewardship. We welcome you to visit us and enjoy this estate.
