Take a Mansion Tour of Gore Place

Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street, Waltham, MA 02453. We have ample free parking!

Guided Mansion tour times: Year-round on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. 

Please note: Mansion Tours will not be available on Saturday, April 13.

Walk-ins are welcome! Take a tour of the beautiful 1806 home of Christopher and Rebecca Gore, New England's most fascinating historic house. You'll see private rooms and public spaces and hear stories of the people who lived and worked at one of the grandest estates in early America.  

Mansion tours are NOT available on the following days: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Sheepshearing Festival in April, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4 and 5), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Please note: Tours are limited to ten guests. This tour involves two flights of stairs and lasts approximately 45 minutes. If you or someone in your group needs an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact us before registering.


Daytime Mansion Tour Discounts:

  • Card to Culture Program: Gore Place is pleased to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program. Cardholders from these programs get daytime Mansion tour admission for 2 adults at $5 each and 2 children for free. For groups of more than 12 people, please make a reservation by calling us at (781) 894-2798. See the complete list of participating organizations offering EBTWIC, and ConnectorCare discounts.

  • Library Passes are available at various libraries in the Minuteman Library Network. Passes are good for daytime Mansion tour admission for up to two adults for $5 each and 2 children for free. Visit our Library Passes page to see our current list of participating libraries.

  • U.S. Military: U.S. military veterans and service members receive daytime Mansion tour admission for two adults for $5 each and 2 children for free year-round. This offer is good for U.S. military veterans as well as U.S. military service members serving on active duty, in the National Guard, in the Reserves, and their families. Please present military identification at the tour check-in to receive this discount.

  • Gore Place participates in the North American Reciprocal Museum program (NARM). Active members of other participating museums at the NARM level receive free daytime Mansion tour admission, a ten percent discount in the gift shop, and discounted tickets for many events. Check our website to see available tours and events. NARM benefits do not extend to the Sheepshearing Festival at Gore Place. Visitors using this program must present an active membership card with the NARM logo from a participating museum. For more information, visit the NARM website at NARMassociation.org.

Cost: $16 general admission, Gore Place Members free, $11 ages 6-16.

Gore Place announced today that Executive Director Susan Robertson will retire in December after 37 years at Gore Place, making her the longest-serving Director since Gore Place was founded in 1935.
