Stories! Movement! Art!
April 19 at 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
An event every day that begins at 1:00pm, repeating until April 19, 2019
Want something to do during April school vacation? This week-long art program will provide students in grades 3-6 the opportunity to tell stories through their art!
By using low-tech materials, we’ll create art that physically moves or uses optical illusion to showcase movement!
This program runs Monday, April 15 to Friday, April 19 from 1-3:30pm. It is open to anyone in grades 3-6. The program will take place inside the Carriage House at Gore Place in Waltham (the large building next to the parking lot).
This program is $20 for the whole week, or $5/day. Tickets: https://art-workshop.bpt.me
As a group throughout the week we will create a large moving panorama (examples can be seen on the Gore Place Facebook page or online elsewhere at www.thecrankiefactory.com) to showcase to families on Friday at 3:30pm.
Smaller individual art projects will occur each day:
Monday: Small moving panoramas and Flip books
Wednesday: Thaumatropes and Zoetropes
Thursday: Artist Trading Cards
Friday: Camera Obscuras
Light snacks will be provided for the participants; please let us know if your child has any food allergies. Contact Marisa at email@example.com.
