Program meets every Tuesday, September 3 to October 15, 2019, from 1-2:30pm in the Carriage House at Gore Place. Tickets: https://goreplace.z2systems.com/np/clients/goreplace/event.jsp?event=42&
This program is designed for adults 55+. No experience with watercolors required. $37 for whole program. Fee includes materials.
The Gore Place Memory Project will provide low cost cultural and artistic enrichment to older adults in a comfortable social setting that encourages the sharing of their family memories. Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques to create a still life painting using both personal objects and items from the collections at Gore Place. Oral histories will be conducted to further recall memories associated with the items chosen in each participants’ still life. By the end of the workshop a public reception will be held to showcase the artwork from participants.
