Time
During the
event, guests will have tea
and canberry-orange pound cake
by Lavishly
Dunn catering & event planning, view
an exhibit of period chairs,
and take a tour of the
1806 mansion at Gore Place.
Tea in Austen's Time will
take place in the beautiful
oval withdrawing room of
this former home of Christopher
and Rebecca Gore. This
is the first in a series
of social events which
will give people the opportunity
to experience the mansion
as guests might have experienced
it in the time of Christopher
and Rebecca Gore. Future teas
will feature music, readings
of period works of literature,
and other entertainments.
Always included will be a viewing
of the mansion--a great
way for people to socialize
in an historical setting.

Join us for a sumptuous meal
in the mansion prepared by
the Chef Robert Harris of Season
to Taste in Cambridge.
Chef Harris will use the freshest
ingredients available from
local farms including the Farm
at Gore Place to prepare a
memorable meal. Proceeds to
benefit the farm. Guests may
bring wine. Hors
d'oeuvre at 6:30pm.
Dinner at 7pm. Space is limited.

Mr. Hawthorne will give
a brief reading from one
of his recent works. Tea
will take place in the
beautiful Great Hall
of this former home
of Christopher and Rebecca
Gore. Iincluded will
be a ground-floor viewing
of the mansion--a great
way for people to socialize
in an historical setting!

Farm Plant Sale
This year,
the plant sale will be almost
exclusively vegetable garden
transplants with 25 varieties
of tomatoes including many
hard-to-find heirlooms. We
also have culinary herbs and
a few select, annual flower
varieties. Please
note: this year, we won't have
perennials. We will have
hanging baskets.
It's not just
the great plants that make
this sale special! It's also
the chance to speak with Scott
Clarke. Scott has a great deal
of knowledge about these varieties
that he's eager to share with
