Here is your chance to enjoy a performance by one of the top classical guitarists of the region in the beautiful setting of the 1806 mansion. A native of Mexico, Santiago Dìaz began playing guitar at the age of 13 at the National School of Music in Mexico City and made his first public recital two years later at the Sala Huehuecóyotl. Acclaimed for his lyrical and passionate performances, Santiago is one of the leading virtuoso guitarists of his generation and is an active concert guitarist in both Mexico and the United States. Santiago will perform works by Manuel Maria Ponce,   Mauro Giuliani, Joaquin Rodrigo, and more.

The Soft Touch Dance Band
Sunday, September 14 at 5pm.


Enjoy a free Concert on the beautiful grounds at Gore Place by a great 18-piece "big band"! Currently under the direction of Kurt Thaller, the band was founded in Waltham in 1980 and was first directed by Paul Rooney.  The members, many of them retired professional musicians, receive no compensation for their performances.  Engagement fees are used to provide college scholarships for musically-talented students. To date, they have disbursed more than $130,000 in financial aid.

Please, provide your own seating. And wear your dancing shoes!
