Species tulips
Native to the Mediterranean, Asia Minor and the Caucasus, species tulips offer a unique choice of unusual flowers and dazzling colors. Wonderful for rock gardens. Bulb size: 5-6cm. Plant 4-5” deep and 6” apart.

Circa 1776, this fragrant beauty has three white flowers with large yellow hearts and red-edged foliage. April blooming. Ht: 8”

Multi-flowering tulips
These bouquet-flowering tulips produce at least four, full-sized flowers per stem. Technically not a class of tulips unto themselves, but part of the single late group, they make for full garden display as well as lush cut flower arrangements. Top size bulbs: at least 12 cm. Single early tulips
These lustrous, cup shaped tulips bloom long before any of their longer-stemmed siblings. Featuring strong stems, they stand up well to rain or wind and open fully in sunny weather. Tulip Keizerskroon
Dating back to 1750, this mildy fragrant heirloom is bright scarlet edged in yellow. Tremendously valuable for garden restorations. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. Mid-April. 12" to 14". HZ: 3-8.

Allium
The flowering Onions are unique, exotic and great fun with dramatic color and unusual show stopping forms. Rodent and disease resistant. They like rich well drained soil with good sunlight. Its low growing foliage is best masked by other perennial plant material that allows these unique blooms to appear magically suspended above the garden. Plant allium bulbs 6-8” deep and 8-10” apart.

Allium triquetrum
Circa 1789, pendant, creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers with distinctive, green midveins and a triangular stem. Naturalizes nicely in partial shade and somewhat moist soil. Bulb size: 6 cm/up. May-July. 18". HZ: 4-8.
