The Gore Place app is an engaging self-guided tour of the grounds that shares the story of the landscape and farming in early New England. Walk around the 45 acres of Gore Place to take the tour in person and imagine the land called “My Farm at Waltham” as it once was 200 years ago, or take it as a virtual tour from anywhere in the world!
The tour guides you to special points of interest throughout the property and features quotes from Christopher Gore (a politician, lawyer, investor, and gentleman farmer), and paintings, illustrations, and maps from the early 19th century.
iPhone and iPod Touch users can download the app for free from the iTunes store by clicking here.
A web based app can be accessed from many smartphones by clicking here.
Don’t own a smartphone? Visitors can rent an iPod Touch from the mansion to take the tour!
